Gdrm anyone had any dealings with this company?

Just been told won £100, all I have to do is go to their offices and claim it after listening to 2 hours of speeches, the registered address is gibraltar, company no 101570, is it a con or worth a look?:D

It looks like when you get there they are going to sell you something that will cost you a lot more than £100. For "2 hours of speeches" read "High pressure sales until you give in and sign"

    I would stay well away.

Your OH is right. It doesn't matter where your £100 comes from, you have to ask yourself what are they getting out of it.

It must be a lot more than £100 for them to make a profit.

I like talking, but there is no way I would pay someone £100 just to listen to me!

Well, I would if I was selling them a timeshare :o

OH did say it must be timeshare and I asked her that on the phone but she said no it was not and the info letter here does not say timeshare but then again it says little apart from we will give you £100 if you attend for 2 hours and have an open mind on earning money, the talk is entitled 'we do the work and you earn the money'

In that case it is a pyramid scheme or MLM. You will have to pay to join, and or buy a startup kit, and the harder you work the more money the people who recruited you make.

Do the pyramid schemes still exist then? I remember them from years ago thought they had died a death and being such a con and such a high profile negative write up that no one would ever go anywhere near them:D

this sounds like something we attended a few weeks ago,its a hard sell to join a holiday company, we are told you become a travel agent for them your own web site and travel books to give to friends and family, office space if you do realy well, :o we asked whats the catch was, and told we had to pay £12.000 to join, she had a discusion with her boss and it was then reduced to £8,000 so we then said it was time to leave we were offerd £6,000 by the time we left and we are still waiting for our £100 so dont bother with this one ITS A SCAM most come via GIBRALTA.been trying to think of the company name, personal travel was the company they were trying to get you to sign up to. but its on the daily mirror blog site.
