Need ipod Touch screen repair,where to go?

I wonder if anyone can advise me where to get a ipod touch 3rd gen screen repair?

15 year old Daughter dropped it this morning and broke the screen the LED screen is not damaged just the outer casing .
When my daughter took it to the Apple store they told her it would cost £126 to fix because the whole unit needed replacing.

She only bought it last month with money she had saved,think Apple are unreasonable and the cost should be much lower,It has put me off every buying from them again.

I don't want to do it myself ,I have had a look at the youtube video and it looked like too many things can go wrong.

Do you have accidental damage cover on your home insurance? Any repair that you do yourself or Apple are not involved in may invalidate your warranty.

No cover
The ipod cost £209 and Apple want £129 not sure the Warranty is worth anything if you know what I mean.

Yes I am aware the warranty might be void if I don't pay the ransom to Apple,just looking into the possibility of going elsewhere,and saving money.
