Was right, despite the googling telling me otherwise last week...
Last week we asked you: ‘You can only see a rainbow with your back to the sun. True or False?’ It’s FALSE - 41% guessed correctly!
The sunlight is reflected back out from the raindrop, so you should have your back to the sun if you want to see a rainbow. But there are certain situations where it can be seen whilst facing the sun, due to the refraction of light.
Glad I trusted my own experience & instinct, but it also shows we can't rely on Google!
