Wanadoo (Orange) Broadband problems

Is anyone else having problems with their Wanadoo broadband connection ?
Ever since they upgraded the speed on my broadband connection I am losing connection on a daily basis for severak hours at a time.
When I ring the tech help desk (an 0870 number) I am on hold for 30 mins + only to be told that they're aware of the problem and are trying to resolve it. God knows why they can't stick an automated message on their phone menu telling customers this instead of making us wait so long to report a problem that they're already aware of. Then again, they make money every time we ring up..........or am I just being cynical ?
Even when I do get online their status indicator on their website says everything is fine.
Anyone else having the same problems ?

i had an outage on my bulldog for the last few days but all is fixed now(somethign at vauxhall)
if you do call up again make sure you say you need it for business and ask for a discounted month, or start with a free month then barter some ;-)0 -
I've noticed a 2 hour loss of service every Tuesday evening for the last few weeks (in fact, it just came back on now).
I've given up with Customer Services, because all they tell you is that they don't know how long it'll be before it's back on.
If you do phone, ask for compensation for the phone calls and for the time you've had to use dial up instead of your broadband service. I've got free months before, and a £10 refund once!0 -

No - after the carnage over the first 48hrs of the cut-over from Wanadoo to Orange, no connectivity problems at all. And my PC is connected most of the day. But - that's still at the 2mb level.
Initially had a lot of problems with IE falling over (every alternate logon). Did everything suggested on the Microsoft site - but no respite. Orange denied anything to do with them - but I managed to reduce the levels of fail by changing the Homepage address in IE back to Wanadoo, from Orange. Still works that way - and the reduced levels of fails mysteriously wholly disappeared a few weeks later?
But - can't seem to fix 'auto completing' of username / password when logging into Emails, however. Worked fine on Wanadoo, the day before the switch, and works (IE properties / Content / Auto Complete) on everything I don't want it to store stuff for - but not from the Orange homepage (does on 'Search'!!) when trying to log into multiple Email accounts. Any ideas? Find remembering the wife's password v difficult!;)If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
