I looked at dogsblog and saw a dog of that cross the other day and I have just looked again, and he is in herts... so either that is the lad you are looking at or there are more of them around than you would expect! I wonder if there is any way to find out if they are littermates... I take it pet shops do not tell you who the breeder is?
Good luck with the home check!
Yes, that's him. His photo does not do him justice
Actually FC it is thanks to you we found him. You posted a link to the dogsblog website a week or so ago and there he was. So thanks!
No, the pet shop gave us no info :embarasse0 -

I guess you will never know for sure then, but it looks quite possible they are littermates.
Personally, I wish selling pups from pet shops was banned... the pups can be sourced from anywhere, and the parents can be kept in miserable conditions - the customers will never know.
Good luck, hope it all goes well - dogsblog is very good isn't it!? I spotted him the other day as my mum is hankering after a second dog and I was looking with her!0 -
Home checkers are not monsters! The important thing is your home and lifestyle are broadly suitable for a dog and that you are open to changing any glaring issues, tho I doubt there will be any. Meeting your dog and seeing that he is happy, healthy and confident around the two of you will be a big plus, you cannot fake that. :cool:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

I actually had a homecheck skipped on me before because I'd answered everything they wanted to know so well on the phone! Knew exactly that I was after an older cat, would be out at work fairly locally for X hours a day, needed an indoor cat, possibly elderly or disabled as the house was quite near a fairly busy road... and was a sucker for a hard-luck story.
Wasn't expecting it but she turned around and said, "Oh you've answered absolutely everything I've needed to know - we won't need to do a home check on you" then went into her list of hard luck projects that she had wanting homes!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Update: The home checker has been and checked. Nice chap, we answered a few questions on the whys and wherefores, he checked out garden and then said we have passed :j:j:j:j:j:j
We are calling the rescue tomorrow (as is the home checker) with the aim of picking the lad up and bringing him home tomorrow. :T
Good birthday present eh? :rotfl:0 -
That's brilliant viktory, and even better you have the brother of your dog!
I know it's daunting, but I'd rather they did a home check then potentially putting an animal in a home/situation not prepared for.** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
**SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

Congratulations :T How amazing that they are probably brothers.
I'm not keen on Shar pei's normally but he does look cute. Its a strange mix and i remember a seeing an ad for a litter of Ba-Shar's on another forum as i'd not got a clue what they were:rotfl:. The pups certainly are cute but there was some concerns over why someone would deliberately breed them as regards to their future health.0 -

Our new boy is now home, safe and sound. We collected him today, he and Ruby, my b1tch, had an hour to play off lead before we loaded them into the car for the 30 minute journey home, which was faultless.
Since he got home he and Ruby have played loads, shared treats and generally got to know us and his new surroundings. Ruby is like a new dog, she is delighted with her new companion.
We just need to think of a new name for him and feed him up. He is standing very still and well behaved for a good brush.
Photos below as promised
