Pizza Hut 2 for 1 tip

Hi moneysavers,
My OH and our DS went to Pizza Hut last night, we'd seen and printed off the 2for1 voucher on here. What we didn't realise what the waitress very helpfully pointed out was that the cheapest meal was for free - so when we ordered our DS his usual childrens meal, the waitress pointed out that it would be that one, rather than one of our main meals, that would be free, i.e. our saving would be £3.99 rather than the £8 that my pasta was. We ended up ordering a medium half and half for OH and DS to share with DS's half being the cheese and tomato he would have had anyway.
So if you do take up the offer and go with children it would be better to order a big pizza to share - I know this seems like a simple thing but according to the waitress it has caught out a lot of people in the few weeks that it has been running, she said one family even walked out without paying!! Just a little tip as its so easy to order the same thing you usually do without thinking, as we did.
Oh and for any money savers who are dieting but still like to eat out whilst saving money, the least dangerous thing to order from the main menu is the Tomato and Mozzarella Metzaluna (spelt that wrong I know!) which is really, really yummy.

That's pretty standard with all buy one get one free's but normally they don't include children's food in the same way they don't include starters or desserts.
It seems fairly shifty to me! maybe next time to pizza express0 -
yeh pizza express is a lot better for pizza. pizza hut is also very unauthentic, i made some money from postalgold, so will be spending some of the money on a fancy italian meal. whenever pizza hut do those all you can eat deals they just make the dough really thick so you cant eat too much0

Yeah I always remember the excitement when the thin crust pepporoni comes out... I swear it only happens once an hour so you have to wait. I think my pizza hut days are over thank goodness.0

3 mums and 6 kids went to pizza hut today and we ordered 10 individual pizza's with refills drinks - kids all had one pizza each n us mums shared the extra one between us and only paid for 5 pizzas - started off our bank hols weekend nicely thanks! If it had been all adults may have done a couple of large one but all the kids wanted different ones so was worth while! :j0
