After nearly a year of waiting it is almost time for me to move into the first property I have purchased. A nice new build that as of tomorrow will be "Build Complete"
Hoping to get everything sorted so that I am moving in next week.
What is the procedure when the builders hit the Build Complete stage? I presume the certificates are passed between solicitors, building insurance has to be shown as ready to go on the new house. Anything else the solicitor or bank (Halifax in this case) will need to do?

Congrats
Your solicitor will need documents from the building insurers to prove the house is insured (ours faxed them over), and thats about it! Solicitor will take care of all the mortgage stuff. Enjoy!

House is now officially built. Spoke with my solicitor who said they will contact me next week to arrange payments to them. Mortgage money had already been requested.
Everything seems to be going smoothly, moving in next Friday. Company booked to bring our stuff out of storage etc etc. Why do I have this paranoid feeling that something is going to go wrong in the next 7 days!!!0
