but would he be pleased to fly into affected airspace and plummet to the ground without warning? Thankfully, I've never been in a plane hurtling towards the ground, but I think I can safely say that I wouldn't be best pleased at that either...... The airline industry/air traffic control are in a no win situation. They cancel the flights, and people are angry because they are delayed. They run the flights, and people are angry that they were put in danger.0 -

Well said. It always amuses me when people get angry about things like this. As if the airlines had intentionally dropped an atomic bomb down the volcano!0 -
Yeah I also am glad that flights are grounded. I hate flying at the best of times without impending ground death!! But being obsessed with money and waste there of, I hope that I get my money back

You would if you had to spend 2 days in the airport. OTOH, if someone came and picked you up and brought you back to your nice hotel, then that would be perfect. :rotfl:

How did you go about getting your refund? I've emailed them at the refunds address they specify but have heard nothing back and it's been two days. Don't fancy ringing up the £1 per minute 'helpline'!0 -
I was due on ryanair tomorrow and the matter is made all the more difficult since the flights are for business and I wasnt the one booked them (thus no emails come to me!). I have tried to find info on what to do but there is nothing. The airport staff wont tell you (incidentally, BHD will still charge you for parking to go and talk to them), the internet tells you nothing and the phone line refuses to comment. So what do you do? Turn up and negotiate? Wait until they fly again then contact them? I am a bit lost.... I know it isnt my money but it cost £700 by the time they charged me for every time i wished to scratch my nose and I really do not wish to give Ryanair anything more than I have to!!Always overestimating...0
