Hi everyone. I agree that some of the charges levied by banks in the past have been unfair. However, am I the only person who believes that I have power over my own actions? If you overspend/overcommit etc and then you get charged for not giving THEIR money back to them then surely that is your own fault?
Its disgusting how people are having debts written off. If you want it, you pay for it. If you want to overstretch on that second mortgage and then interest rates go up.....guess what....tough luck.
I know that we live in a nanny state and that people have been conditioned to believe that they are entitled to a standard of living without paying for it....but this is wrong!
What I do believe should be forced through, is that banks work 7 days a week just like the rest of the world-a cheque should clear immediately that it is received, and likewise, if money is transfered it is done immediately.
Has anyone asked how much the banks earn in interest for the money they transfer thats between accounts? hmmm.
Banks, along with insurance companies and debt collection agencies ARE criminal, however, its not their fault when we do something that we have agreed no to do!
