Superswitch Immersion Timer Instruction
The plug for the immersion heater in my new house is connected to a timer and I have no clue how to use it!!
The timer is made by Superswitch (cat no 1325) – 13 (2)A 230/240V – 50Hz T45
· There is switch at the top, you can either switch to ON or “clock face” (i.e. set program)
· There is a circular 24hr time segment which you can be pushed down and rotated – the arrow is currently pointed at the half way point between 8 and 9
· Underneath the 24hr time segment described in above point, there appears to an orange coloured circular segment but its not completely visible. The only part of it visible is the section next to the number 5 of the 24hr circular segment.
I hope I have explained it cleartly.
Can someone explain to me how this works? I assume based on what I wrote above the immersion is currently set to come on at 5am right? How do I control how long it stays on for and what time it switches off?
Thanks in advance

Yes, the orange bit is when the timer is set to come on. However, Im not sure how you would set it to turn off say after one hour of coming on..

Can you push in (or out) part of the orange coloured circular segment?
i.e. it is made up of lots of small plastic parts, each perhaps 1/4 hour duration?
If so, the timer operates for the period the segment applies. Try flipping the segments using a pencil if difficult to access.
Edit:
Here's one for example, but it has a black rather than orange multi-segment ring around the outside of the clock"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

I assumed the orange segment will be when the timer starts. However how do you control how long its "on" for?0 -
