Stainless steel or black appliances with an oak kitchen?

And black worktops?

I've been hankering after a black gloss American fridge freezer but with two children I wonder if it'd be a full time job keeping it fingerprint free!

I'm worried that black appliances with black worktops will draw the room in (12x10). Has anyone got this combination?

Thanks

My friend has black kitchen units. She says it isn't the fingermarks that are the problem but the dust.

    Stainless steel shows finger marks.

    Black shows the dust.

  • Have a black bosch fridge freezer and washing machine....they do look awesome! But, as mentioned, show the dust, so need a wipe every now and then.

Dont get Smeg 'finger proof' Stainless steel!!!
The protective 'finger proof' stuff is a coating that actually wears /peels off .

I have oak and stainless steel and cream/beige/black/grey/sparkle/orange granite worktops.

You get used to the fingerprints but I have integrated fridge and dishwasher which are the things that get touched the most.

I'd never ever buy gloss black kitchen appliances as it's bad enough trying to keep my black gloss Samsung TV free of dust. I think they'd drive me mad.
