if we say its effecting our health could we get it pushed through quicker

some of you know the hassle me and my partner have had to get out JSA

for those that dont - claimed 7 weeks ago, been onto them countless times to be told the same 'its with the DMs crap'

so that brings us to today, called up 3 times, finally got a call back to say they would sort it tomorrow and call me to as how we want the money

the thing is i heard the same thing last thursday when i called up and on tuesday when i called them

so im thinking if i dont get a call tomorrow that im going to call them and say its effecting out health (its not a lie cause it is actually effecting our health) would this push it through any quicker? we cant even get a crisis loan because they say if we are giving a date that it will be sorted then they cant give us a loan but they arnt sorting it on the date they say they will

If you say it is affecting your health, I imagine the response will be to claim ESA instead. If you do this the whole process will start again.

If I were you I would make an immediate appointment at your local citizens advise or welfare rights office- the B.A usually stand to attention more so when you have these agencies calling them on your behalf. if it is sorted out in the meantime then great. Good luck

I believe you can ask for provisional payments of JSA until the claim has been sorted out, as long as the claim was made at least 2 weeks ago?
