    It tends to speed up the net very slightly and you get around most DNS issues
    You can also use it to block 'pron' etc if you choose to

    Well worth having and I used it until I started using a VPN

  • OpenDNS are good, you can also use Google's name servers they are also fast, and of course they can then log who goes where.

    GRC have a free DNS benchmark tool to compare the speed of various DNS servers, which you might find useful.

    It is really good one, not only speed up, you could block certain sites access and if you have kids it is really useful to stop all the gambling and porno sites.

    My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(
