Egg 0% Anniversary Offer

Just a warning. I have just taken up Egg's anniversary offer and advanced a sum at what I thought would be 0%. I knew there was an admin fee (2.5%) but when I received the statement there was an interest charge. On questioning this I am informed that Egg has charged the interest on the admin fee! Surely this is the charge for the advance but Egg have counted it as a purchase. The money is still at a very low rate but 0% it is not!

Cheers, I normally use that just after Christmas to spread the cost.
Is it just me, or has Egg's customer service gone to the dogs off late? I'm about to take the scissors to my Egg Card.0 -
yep i had the same problem and am being charged interest on the fee - when i rang and queried it the advisor had to ask a supervisor then come back and tell me what the charge was for - not very reassuring. While later had one of those surveys they send and told them they were pants, like they care.i'm living in a parallel universe0

I have an anniversary coming up next month, I think it will pass uncelebrated this year, I plan to call them in the next week to find out my status and if I get a fee free deal, if not it's history.0
