Estimated Bills & Spark

Good evening, I would like some advice, please.
Last August I moved into a new flat, my letting agents advised that the electricity company would be Spark.
They started billing me £50 a month which is their estimate of our usage - I sent off our meter reading - nothing changed.
They are still billing at this amount - I sent off another meter reading - nothing changed.
I have only ever received one bill which showed us using 310kWh a month, but I think it is actually closer to 1000kWh.
So by my estimation, we probably owe them £800.00 give or take.
I don't know what to do - as all customer reviews of them say to stay away, their customer service is shocking.
Do I contact them or just let it carry on? I won't be at the property forever. I don't mind paying what is owing but I don't even know what it is I owe, and certainly cannot afford a sudden £800.00 bill!
I don't even know if 1000kWh usage a month is realistic for a 2 bedroom flat (it is all electricity, no gas)?
I doubt they will ever get around to actually reading the meter though as they seem so useless so maybe I should just let it carry on?
Any advice? Thanks!!

In my view you have 2 options:
1) Write them a letter of complaint containing the current meter reading and tell them you want a bill based on your actual reading, or
2) Change suppliers as they will then have to produce a final billed based on the reading provided by your new supplier which you can give them.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
