Milk and More charged me even though I used the MSE code?!

I used this for myself & my gran (on 2 credit cards) and they charged me both times even though both were under £5. I've replied to the email invoice they sent me twice now and still no reply/refund....what can I do?

  • Hi Liamcov. I could be wrong, but I think it said that you had to pay by Direct Debit in order to get the discount. That's the way I read it anyway. I didn't sign up because I didn't think it was worth the hassle or security issues in giving them my bank details.
  • if i feel i have been wrongly/unfairly treated by a company, i find the MD/CEO's details and write to them, recorded delivery.

most companies have responded positively to me when they've been in the wrong - sending refunds, etc

i will do this even when technically they're in the right, but they've put some crucial information in the small print.
Boyfriend & I have saved £12K in two years, thanks to careful budgeting and keeping a record of what we spend. I've never paid myself this amount of money before - it feels great!

I was charged as well and when I queried it was told that because I had used my debit card to make a one off payment and not made a regular payment facility.

Pick the phone up and call them. they honoured my codes and I used the DM and the SAVE5 code. Just tell them that they you will be using their service again as you were impressed but the mix up has left you a little disappointed. Tact works wonders - a call is better than an email :) good luck. x
