My daughter's bedroom is Lilac Love! Unfortunately she is now almost 14 and it is "too girly" for her!
Do you own a drill? Get/make a whisk-type attachment for it and mix the paint with that - that's what I did a couple of years back and it worked out fine

you could always do 3 walls in that colour and then do a feature wall in a darker shade0

Does it look any more lilac-y on the walls? As it looks near white in the tin!!!0 -

it will work a treat be sure you have more than enough as you will never get the same colour again0

Mix it in a bucket from the £ shop, then if you have a little left over you want to keep for the future, something like a Vitalite tub is handy.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

If you're doing two different cans of paint, either make sure you don't mix them up on the walls, or make one a few tones darker and use fortwo of the walls, either adjacent or the two facing walls. This will give a bit of depth to the colour.
Unless there are more than 4 walls.0 -
You could try going to your local paint or DIY store and asking if they will put your paint in their paint shaker machine for you for a small fee or if you buy something.
Those machines should be quicker and more effective than manual mixing.0 -
My mum always just buys a white paint and then mixes it with whatever colour she is going for, she isn't usually to fussy on the shade so works fine. I tend to dither over the exact shade for hours so have never tried it myself, but it is definately doable0
