Anyone any ideas?
the underlying vpn connection through the draytek router is working fine, connecting 2 databases in remote locations.

the internet on the three pcs is not.
viruses? dns problems? rebuild winsock?

the three local pcs are showing up on the workgroup network, just not connecting to the internet.
They have been working perfectly for years. All of a sudden they came off the internet one by one over the past week.

I've also changed the old router for an identical spare one.

So many questions. Wired? Wireless? ICS? Can the see http://192.168.1.1 or whatever router login page you have? Can they ping for example bbc.co.uk? What does a tracert show? What OS are they? Have they been service packed or updated recently? Errors in event logs? Do they work if the VPN connection isn't established? To name but a few!

Are you sure the internet connection is there from your provider (ie, they arent intercepting or blocking the 'usual' ports and traffic)?

We had our internet pulled at work recently (Our ISP in dispute with their provider :(). We were off the net for about 2 weeks, but the VPN link to the backup server stayed up the whole time, and I could VPN into the work server with no problems.

Now back online, this time with a decent ISP :) ... I hope...
