Netgear ME102 and NTL

Trying without success to get an ME102 working with my cable modem, had it working at one point but it packed up so I got another and now that wont work either. I cant get any wireless signal. Any tips anyone?

    This may help you.

    I've been having a look but I'm not 2 familiar with Wireless Access Points on their own.

    I use a wireless router and have setup wireless ADSL modem routers for friends but not a standalong access point.

    They look to be used to extend an existing wired network. Is this what you have??
