Electric towel rail

Hey all.
Just really after some opinions, I am looking to buy a liquid based towel rail for my bathroom.
As far as I can see I have two options, one is a rail with a fixed temperature and the other is one with a temperature control.
I understand that the most expensive part will be heating the rail up but once the temperature is hit, maintaining that temperature shouldn't consume so many watts?
Probably a silly question, but would people here bother with a towel rail where the temperature can be controlled?
Thanks

I think you'd save more energy by getting a timer switch fitted to the supply, that way you can set it to come on only when required, save on running it over night, when you're out at work etc.0

Years ago had a lamp dimmer on a towel rail, same result it was mounted in a double outlet flush socket, with on/off. Can't see why you want to keep it on low all the time...0
