Surely you don't need access to more than 176 apps in any one week? If you sync your iPhone with iTunes when you open iTunes all the apps will be listed in the library. You can then delete from either the handset or the library or both. Well over half the space on my handset is filled with podcasts and music.

Thanks will try from iTune to delete and move what i had installed 12 onwards :j.

Still really strange 176 limit is not enough .

According to reports, the new OS4 (being released in a few months I think) will allow for folders so you should be able to group your icons better i.e. have all your games in one folder and so on. Might be able to cut down from 11 screens then!

Correct, it'll then support ~2100 apps. Enough even for truthman...possibly.
