plants that love shade
hi all
looking for a bit of advice, at my front door i have space for some plants in pots ... i think it would make the entrance alot more friendly and seeing as how i am having a ball growing things i thought ... oh there's a spot that aint got anything in it yet ... thing is it is in the shade i have three steps that can take something on each so would love to do something kinda matching but different as well ...
any suggestions?
also does anyone think it would be a good idea to start an ask any questions thread kinda like the os board have ? also a wee over the garden fence daily kinda catch up as well ? ... was thinking it would save me having to make new threads everytime i needed something answered ... and also it is nice to catch up with people and what they are up to ... loving the thread by lynz ... it will be great when it re-appears

Good idea for the threads, elantan, especially a quick question one, I have these so often I feel daft asking everytime, and end up doing a search and reading loads of posts before I find what I want.
PS meant to suggest heather, it will grow anywhere really, and you could get different varieties for each stair. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

Ooh I'm going there next week to spend all my plant money I've saved up! I didn't realise you were a Scot, thought you'd balk at the idea/
