My grand kids have moved a couple of things on my laptop and I have managed to put them back but, I am stuck with one thing and I can`t get it back. They have moved the bar which runs along the bottom of the screen and now everything is at the side so how do I get it back where it was before? Thanks Jacqui

Right-click anywhere (except the 'Start' button) on the bar and make sure 'Lock the Taskbar' is unticked. Now, simply click and drag the bar to the desired location (in your case, the bottom of the screen). Once in the desired location, right-click on the bar again and press 'Lock the Taskbar', to prevent any more undesired movement.

LOL..love that one
okay first off right click on a free space of the "bottom bar" (know as the task bar) and make sure that there is not a check mark beside Lock the Taskbar.
If the check mark is there, click the box to unselect this feature, click OK, and then close the Control Panel window. If the check mark is not there, click Cancel, and then close the Control Panel window.
Now
Click a blank portion of the taskbar.
Hold down the primary mouse button, and then drag the mouse pointer to the place on the screen where you want the taskbar. For example, you may want the taskbar to be positioned at the bottom move the mouse down to the bottom
After you move the mouse pointer to the position on your screen where you want the taskbar, release the mouse button.
Now go back to you want to Lock the task bar (see first part of the post but tick the "Lock the Taskbar"

Click on an empty area of the Taskbar and then drag it back down to where you want it. Then right click and select 'Lock the Taskbar'-though I doubt that will keep them out for long,
