Hi. We are thinking of stopping sky because we are cutting back. We have a sky + box and want to know if we can still use its functions and if not, is there a way that we can because we have paid for it and are a bit naffed that we can't use it's record facilities etc for the free channels that we will have left.xx

You will have to pay £10 per month to use the Sky+ features, its free if you have a movie or football subscription

Im sure there is an 'illegal' way of getting the box to work when not subscribed to sky but I dont know how or where you could obtain the info, sorry!

It is not possible, you effectively have an expensive free view box.

I stopped Sky+ a montha ago and I searched high and low for a solution.
