Cat jumped on my keyboard...

Hi All

My cat jumped onto the keyboard of my laptop this evening, and ever since it's as if the information on the screen is too big to fit into the screen. I've tried making text smaller - that's fine but it does not reduce column widths nor reduce the size of icons, so the page is still wider than the screen.

I've had a look through my laptop's manual and couldn't find a solution from the trouble shooting section. I also had a look at the Accessiblity menu and had a play with that, but nothing there was suitable.

So, is there anyone out there who can help me? And please don't say to wring the little bogger's neck...

Thanks in advance.

Hold down the Ctrl key and scroll the mouse - it should enlarge and reduce the screen text depending on which way you scroll your mouse.

    HTH :D

Edited to add:- Oops, just re-read and you say it's not text that's the problem :( Sorry, my excuse is it's still B.C. <

Try right clicking on a blank area of your desktop screen. Select properties, a box will appear. Select settings (at the top) then look at the bottom. You should have a slider called screen area. Move the slider to the right then click apply, this will change the way your screen looks. If this isn't how you want the screen to look, then try the slider to the left. You can always put it back to where it was if it doesn't suit you.

    Hope this helps.
