    I use a PDA with TomTom 5 on it and it's excellent, so I'd say go for a TomTom One. A friend of mine has navman and also likes it (you can get it for £239 from here)

    I have TT5 running on an o2 XDA Mini S (pda/phone) with a Tom Tom Sirf III gps and I find it excellent. But I would be interested in making a direct comparison with Garmin. TT gets the best reviews though. I have been with it since v2.
