Debenhams has the worst webiste ever.
I tried to order some homeware and each time I finally got to checkout put my details in the site would crash.
In the end (and three hours later)I tried to do a telephone order while doing so a confirmation email came through that five of the items I had ordered had gone through so I hung up.
Five days later my neighbour took delivery of 12 boxes:eek:
They had repeated the order three times (some stuff sold out) and had charged my c/c plus three delivery charges.
I got on the blower and she was as nice as pie and arranged for the surplus stuff to be collected but then told me it would take 14 days for a refund.
I went mad and told her why should they hang on to my money for their mistake.
After a number of phonecalls and raised voices they gave me an instant refund, inlcuding all the delivery charges, before they had even collected the goods.
Suppose I had used a debit card?
I think I'm too traumatised to use their site again.
Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

Same happened to me the last time i ordered from them, but they only deliver and charge for one order. They must know their site is pants when it comes to ordering :p

I too have managed to order twice as I thought the site had crashed so did it twice. Last time this happened I was told to refuse delivery for one of the items. I will be doing this again as long as I am in to refuse delivery, last time they delivered it to my neighbour and it was a pain to get it returned!
