Aren't you the clever one, but then again maybe not because I didn't say they were American.0 -
M&S coffee is too bitter (at least the one here is). Wetherspoons pubs do a surprisingly decent cuppa (nice Mocha too), and have a loyalty card, I think it's buy 6 and get your 7th free.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0

With M&S you buy 10 and get one free. I always have hot chocolate but they still stamp my loyalty card and I get a hot chocolate free.0

It's the slow service in Costa Coffee that I can't stand! Every single thing is done one step at a time - literally. I thought it was just our local branch - but then went to another in a city nearby and if anything the slowness was worse.....
I don't think I'd have the time to collect enough stamps for a freebie!0 -
I have this Loyalty Card`ish thingy scheme .........
I go into a shop or cafe or whatever ......
Spend my money and then .......
If its any good i will come back again
if it aint any good why would a "Free" coffee or whatever make any difference ?A Bast**d I May Be ! I Was Born One !
Whats Your Excuse ?0 -
If it's the sort of situation where you pass the shop each day on your way to work and pick up a coffee to unbleary-eye you - that's the sort of people the loyalty schemes are aimed at really. I know oh gets a lot of use out of certain ones over the course of time since he works in the city centre (and adamantly refuses to slum it and make sandwiches like I do).
I'm still peed off at Costa because they replaced my Starbucks in Tesco (the caramel mac at the end of the shop was what made the place bearable) with a Costa and it's been shambolic since it opened - till broke, girl behind the counter couldn't add up, losing track of orders etc etc. I know the kids in there are all new but seriously it's getting frustrated now - and I don't like Costa coffee as much to end a Tesco trip.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
I'd love to work at Costa...............I can do miserable0

i love costa and starbucks aswel, but since i get this loyalty card from costa i go more often there rather than starbucks where they don't give away any points at all ( though they did give away a few freebie vouchers when they launche their new vista coffee for home).
I wrote starbucks a while ago about making a loyalty card or to give away stamps for each coffee purchased etc. they reply back to say thank you for your suggestion and nothing is been happening sence. I agree with Amanda, it costs aot of money they could give away a free coffee more often to attract to show that they value their 'poor' customers aswel
I am likely to buy approx 4 costa/starbucks a week.... when I get poor I just grab a McDonalds latte instead :-)0 -
I am far too tight to go to Starbucks, Costa, Nero's etc. Wetherspoons is Lavazza coffee and very nice - was 99p for ages, just gone up a bit. McD's is quite nice too. Our local Sainsburys cafe have quite nice coffee and toast is only 35p a slice.0

Can I just ask what the connection is between coffee and loyalty???
Why do some people think you must be given a loyalty card /stamp every time you make a purchase in their store? It seldom applies in other retailers and I never understand the logic of I've earnt it.
The choice is there for all to shop around and surely it makes sense to buy something you like, and to you is value for money. I'd rather have 9 nice coffees for the price of 9 nice coffees or I could have a load of dreadful coffee from Starbucks knowing that my 10th dreadful one is free!!0
