reclaiming charges and ppi

i had several cards and loans from 3 or 4 company's i have no details of them and they no longer show on my credit history can i still reclaim but just sending a letter without any account details

Hi there

It would help if you had the account numbers, so they can track down on investigating your complaints, but for the account numbers, if they repayments were made out of your bank account, you may find them on banking statements, the account numbers are normally next to the monthly repayments.

If you also do online banking, some allow you to go back 7 years or so.

How long ago was it that you taken the loans out?

You could give it a chance otherwise by giving them as many details as possible, but they may get back and say they need something to go by.

No harm in trying though.

If you request for a SAR you may be lucky to receive details on your account, but its just taking that chance really of spending £10 for this request.
You could also try by ringing them, if the branch is local to you, call in and they may do some tracking for you, I have known people to have done this and been successful in getting their details.;)
