Wireless Drop Off

Anyone able to offer an insight into this, I'm a bit stumped

I've got a Wireless-N Router (One of those Belkin ones) setup and using a BelkinN Wireless Card in my laptop (WPA2-PSK encryption)

When I'm in my bedroom, if I'm surfing for around 2-3 mins and load a page with fairly moderate graphics (i.e facebook / eBay) - or even most sites in general, my link remains excellent but the wireless speed drops from 230MBps to 0 then pages won't display

If I use the laptop downstairs away from the router, the link is low with speed but connection is stable

I've thought it may be interference from other Wireless Devices and the frequency being used just wanted to get some insight why it's dropping off.

I also think it's to do with the USB NAS setup (plug a USB HDD in it)

My router has the wireless light flashing orange, which seems to be a constant problem on Belkin. I can't find any updated firmware. When it flashed orange before it was the security, but I've setup the security from scratch on all laptops

Any ideas?

Just changed the Wireless settings for QoS of Multimedia. It's setup so video and VOIP have priority over data network. I've disabled it, so I'll try that too.
