    Hi cally

I just thought that i would add that i think that we are both at the same stage. Its a scary process and lots to take in. Im off to the CAB in a minute for a face to face chat, as im better like that than on the phone. Thinking of you.

Dont panic, you have plenty of time to prepare and just keep remembering you are taking the necessary steps to sort out your problems and get your life back on track. No one wants to go BR but you have been advised to by professionals, it is the solution for your problems. Your feelings of shame and upset are totally understandable.

I went through all the feelings you have right now and I promise you it will get easier.

Keep posting for help and we are all here with you. Good luck.

We ended up not answering the phone to them, there's only so many times you can tell people who just won't listen. We had phone calls every day (twice, sometimes three times) from one paticular creditor.

Have you got caller display? I programmed there no. into it and just didn't answer in the end. Yes my stomach used to sink every time the phone rang but I knew we would be going BR and I had taken every opportunity previous to this to explain what had happened to us, asked them for extra time while I consulted debt agencies etc. It just made no difference.

You just have to hang in there, other people have refused to answer their security questions when they ring so they cant proceed further.

If you need any advice on how to complete the forms then ask away here on this forum, there is a terrific bunch of people here happy to help.
The (superannuation ?) pension that is frozen until you retire will be unaffected so don't worry about this; whether you can contribute/top-up/other is another issue which you can discuss with your OR when you get to that stage.
