HELP PS3 160gb faulty!!!

HELP!!

Getting the message.

The hard disk's file system is corrupted and will be restored.
OK

When you press OK it does:

Restoring....
Do not turn of the system.

When this completes it goes back to the original messge, and continues to do so without ever being right.

DS was playing little big planet, and when he took the disk out, then went back to Turn Off System, it froze for ten minutes, he changed the TV channel and about ten minutes later noticed the green light was still on, he checked and the screen was blank so he turned it off?

Please please help with any ideas, suggestions or guide about how much it will cost to fix?

Ok I got it sorted. Called the Sony helpline after several conflicting Google results, most of which recommended a new HDD or swapping it into someone else's machine to reboot(!) We simpley did a system restore type thing following the instructions from the very helpful young man on the helpline. They have lost all thir saved data, but it didn't cost a thing, and took no more than ten minutes (three minutes of which I had him on HOLD as I was cleaing up the cuppa I had spilled).
