Good evening
We are having problems with our car. It is an M reg Honda Concerto 1.5i and it has decided out of the blue that we are trying to steal it! We're trying to sell it as we hardly ever use it, and last week we had someone over to look at it. He had the cash in his hand but the darn car wouldn't start. So we got a battery charger and charged up the battery. Tried it in the car, wonderful! It started. Took it for a turn round the block and parked up again. Today, went down to see if it would start again. Unlocked the doors, got in, turned the key...... no dice. All the lights and the electrics work so it's not the battery. Then the alarm started. Got out, checked the boot and the doors, noticed the sunroof wasn't fully closed, so closed that, then shut and locked the doors. Went away for a while, then came back and opened the doors again. Alarm sounded.
Last time this happened it was because I had left the boot open and locked the doors. All I did was to open the doors, shut the boot and relock the doors and it stopped but nothing we do is working today. We have resorted to disconnecting the battery.
Now. Is there anything we can do to try and convince the system that we are not trying to steal the car, or do we have to get someone out?? Hope not, as we are skint
thanks in advance!
