    Success!!!:j

After trial and error with the letter beads - the first lot were an icky grey colour, so bought ones which were listed as 'A Class' to get the bright white ones.

Love the pony beads, nice and chunky and easy to work with. :)

I gave up on the eyelets idea, instead I have folded the bottom back under the beads and as someone suggested on here, I superglued the last bead in place.

My sister and BIL are due their first child next month, so I have made the baby pink/blue Mum and Dad keyrings to put in with the baby's gift for them. :)

I have ordered in bulk from a wholesaler abroad. Because of all the flight problems/delays lately I wasn't wanting to wait too long before I got started, so I got a small amount of beads from this ebay seller to get me started:

    They were really efficient :)

These are fab & look easy but could you jot down the process from start to finsih please.
I read that you tucked the bottom under & glue the last bead, did you do the same to the first bead too.

Also the supplier abroad, assume they are cheaper, do you have a link to them to please. I think these will be great make & takes for our school fayre IF we can get the supplies in time & do a few dummy runs.

Fold ribbon over keyring and glue in place
Feed beads through, leave last 3 off
Fold and glue bottom end of ribbon
Feed on last three beads (a little trickier doubled over but ok if you fold the ribbon tightly
Glue bottom bead and slide into place

Each one only takes about 10-15 mins

    The bulk supplier is here:

Please bear in mind I haven't received my first order from them yet so can't say about the quality or delivery times, which is why I was holding off posting a link before now.

Thanks Lou. I have just dug into the toy cupboard & retrieved a tub of beads, all sorts but some pony ones ( didn't know they were called that so thanks).

I guess step one could be threded onto the ring once made rather than glue on first but all the rest was in my head but clarification is much more reassuring.

Thanks I shall be playing with this idea as a def kids craft attraction.

How much do you think one should charge for kids as a make & take at a fete? They can't cost much to buy as stock.

Yeah they could but I hate that fiddly threading stuff onto keyrings, so personally wanted to avoid it:rotfl: (Plus I was thought it might mark the ribbon a bit)

I was thinking about £1.50-£2 if I was going to sell them...they seem to sell for about that on ebay so I think that is reasonable. If it was for a kids stall they could be cheaper, £1 would cover the cost of the keyring.

I am going to make extra MUM and DAD ones for the school's next charity fayre, I think kids would like them for their parents.

If it helps, I bought the barrel pony mix, and there are loads of glittery ones in that :)
