HI
I wanted to put free veiw box in my sons room but do not have a built in ariel there, is there a strong portable that can pick it up the channels, I have tried his normal ariel but not good enough. Also my loft ariel which goes to the lounge room down stairs picks up free veiw on a tv that has it already installed but it is very clicky sound and freezes alot, I have tried moving the loft ariel but it is still the same. Any sugestions would be great.
( I have sky digital but with cut backs it will be going )
Thanks Kat

Hi I dont really know what ariel it is, but as it has been in the loft over 9yrs, it probably is not not wide band what ever that means, would I need to get a wide band ariel there then. Getting freeview in my sons room then is not going to work then as there is no such portable ariel.
thanks

I think that you will have to accept the fact that you are not in a particularly good freeview area and so you will need a wideband aeriel in your loft (or possibly on your roof).
The aeriel signal can be split so that the same aeriel goes to your main tv and your sons.
Assuming that his room is upstairs it is simple to drill a hole in the corner of his bedroom into the loft and connect the aeriel through there.
I did that in one of our bedrroms and it is not particularly obtrusive.I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
I'm not losing my hair... I'm getting more head!!0
