Too much available credit?

My mother has 25 accounts showing on her credit report, 1 is a current account, 2 are known loans. The rest are credit cards and catalogue accounts.

We are trying to consolidate the two loans (to remove PPI on one, and so we can pay chunks off the other), so could the amount of open used credit be detremental to getting a new loan?

Her wages have also dropped since most of the credit was initially given.

Simply close the accounts you are not using - give each company a phone and they can tell you the easiest way to do this.

Shouldn't be Littlewoods or LXDirect as they would show as Littlewoods Finance company limited.

Shop Direct Financial Services will be either Kays, Kays Lifestyle, Great Universal, Great Universal Essentials, Additions, Abound, Choice, Choice for You, and Marshall Ward.

Although Littlewoods and Shop Direct Merged they have kept their credit companies seperate.

Littlewoods is showing as Littlewoods, we are closing that one.

The Ikano one was New Look

Ikano does the Alders Card as well had a 0% 2 year deal for furniture with them. They are located in Nottingham, have phoned the a few times, they seem OK.
