In fact the advice you start using the Virgin card for purchases does seem to be good advice - but you just laughed at it.
i rarely lose my temper, but this bloke just wound me up, and despite everything I AM using the Virgin card cos i can't use the MBNA one !
this is most annoying, as I have to remember to change my credit card details when i make certain internet purchases (amazon etc) !0 -

Only after you have agreed can the transfer be sent and every advisor on the phone has to read that so there would be no point in complaining plus they have agreed to put all the existing purchaces onto the 0% so in my opinion they have done more for you than they had too.
p.s Just a note of warning you said you were paying off the MBNA card in full every month. Was that on Direct Debit? If so call them back and check they have amended back to min payment whilst you have the 0%
yes she read out a disclosure, but she didn't say anything about not using the card, which was what i was annoyed about (do they deliberately leave that out i wonder ?)
and they didn't have to extend the 0% to my whole balance, so i wonder why they did that ?
no i don't pay by direct debit, i prefer to do it manually by internet banking every month.0 -
If the girl had said you shouldn't use the card for purchaces she would have been telling you a lie, you can do transfers and purchaces on the same card they are just on different rates.
Which is why the diclosure reads - We will allocate payments to balances at the lowest rate first.
You agreed to it so no they didn't have to move the card purchaces onto 0% your right, they did you a favour. I would just be happy with what you got.0
