was it a reserve online collect in store?
you would of been given a special reserve code that should appear on the system?
Also this the right forum for this?0 -
Legally, they do not have to. As no contract has been entered into, they do nothave to agree to sell at the price advertised on the website. The price you saw was "an invitation to treat" and, because both parties have not agreed a selling price, they can not sell the item at the price you believe you should pay.0

Got mine ok, when ordered to collect from store, just took the printout from home and was no problemAlways on the hunt for a bargain0

PC World online really needs to sort out their T&Cs. I had problems with their reservation system. It allowed me to reserve items but when I went to the store, they told me they couldn't find the items even though they were showing in stock. I can only assume a member of staff saw the deal while putting them aside for me and decided to hide them and buy them themselves.0

They do not have to sell you the item at the price you saw on the internet, they do not have to sell you anything at all if they don't want to. If they had sold you the item at the higher price and you had realised afterwards as far as I know you would be entitled to a refund of the difference as by that point they had entered into a contract with you.
They have broken the law by advertising something at a price that they are not willing to offer though. You can report them to trading standards and they will investigate the companies pricing system as a whole, they wont be too interested in investigating this single issue though. It may be worth a try threatening to contact trading standards as they have broken this law and ask them to honour the price instead (what would they rather, trading standards investigation or lose £10 to keep a customer?) If they still don't offer the lower price contact trading standards and give them one last chance to offer you the lower price by saying you're willing to cancel the investigation by saying you made a mistake and they hadn't got the price wrong or something! Either way you might get the product for the price you want but even if you don't they'll be put off trying that sort of thing again as they wont want frequent trading standards investigations.0 -
Loads of people are getting these cards for £4.99 as its posted on the dvd froums, you have to reserve online and take the printout to the store, i presume you did this rather than just turn up ??0

I took my printed out reservation form to PC World and they handed over 3 of the cards at £4.99 no problem. At the checkout they just tap your reservation number in and bingo, you pay the quoted internet price.
Edit: Just noticed it is now £14.99 on the website with no special Web Price, so you might be out of luck.0
