Are they new plants?
Is it the lower leaves?
Strawberries keep a lot of their old leaves on over winter and then they die off about now once the new ones have started to grow from the middle. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

the fresh new leaves growing from the base tend to be a light green when they come through and the older leaves are very dark green sometimes mine have brown edges where the weather has affected them over the winter......I think a proper yellowing of the leaf is probably a deficiency of some kind in the soil? I had a quick look in my book and it seems to suggest a Nitrogen deficiency if its 'uniform' yellowing of the leaves and various minerals if its not the whole leaf...
Do you have any fertiliser you could put on? i do use chicken pellets on mine and a bit of phosphate? I have grown straws for some time but i have never had many problems, touch wood, maybe someone more experienced will be along soon....Every Penny's a prisoner :T0 -
yeah i heard it was lack of nitrogen too ... maybe give them a wee feed ... good luck0

There are loads of different varieties and some flower early, some later and some have more than one crop a year.my strawberries have already got new leaves coming and i noticed the flowers starting is this too soon or should i be doing something to them, not grown them before
I do very little to maintain mine other than a tidy up this time of year removing the old leaves and straw.
I don't feed mine too much (actually at all) as too much nitrogen will give you lots of green leaves - you are after lots of flowers and fruit.
I put straw around mine when the fruit has formed before it ripens and I also net mine to keep the birds off (also make it more tricky for the kids to keep eating them as they go past;))The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
