Arggghhh please can someone help?
Ok i just tried to post an item to someones so called 'confirmed paypal address' - well lucky i was trying to send tracked as just found out the whole address is wrong. The postcode being somewhere in Kent, yet the address being London and the street completely different. Almost like someone has just 'made up' the address.
Is this poss though? - i would have thought if it were confirmed there would have been some kind of check on it.
Please help.
I have emailed the buyer for the correct address but now realise that if i post to a new address they give me i am effectively losing the paypal protection as it won't be the one on the payment page. Can anyone think of a way around this? The item sold for £80+ so i REALLY can't afford to be out of pocket on this one.
Many thanks in advance!

Maybe the buyer mis-typed their postcode? Could be a genuine mistake. When I got my address confirmed I had to get paypal ring my landline number, however this is flawed as I was currently at my boyfriends house so used his phone number. I didn't have a landline at the time at my house. My daughters are my world0

Maybe you could refund them and get them to correct their address then pay again ?
Just a thought, you could use the Royal Mail postcode finder http://postcode.royalmail.com/portal/rm/postcodefinder , put the address in, and see if the postcode it gives you is anything similar to the one you already have, maybe with digits mixed up ? Could use this to check out their new 'corrected' address too before heading for the post office again to save wasted time !Google is my friend ..... :j0 -
Pull their details from Ebay, give them a ring and find out the correct address. If you are still concerned, you can refund their payment and ask them to GIFT the address on Paypal.0

If the buyer does not respond, use the REPORT MEMBER, "False or missing contact information" report form - that usually gets a result pretty quickly!
Don't forget to add your information about the address and (wrong) postcodeI am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -
I had this once and it turned out he had a boat which he sailed around the country and he kept forgetting to confirm his address. His address was not even on the PO list but the item arrived safe and sound and he was delighted.0

Hopefully the seller will understand that unless he updates the 'confirmed' paypal address you will not send it as you will not be protected.
I wouldn't be so quick to offer a refund, l would suggest that you email advising him/her that your willing to hold onto the item and you look forward to hearing from them with 10 days. After that time if still no confirmed address then l would look at refunding, however you do need to think how you would go about getting your final value fees back.0
