Getting rid of knot stains on painted wood

Hi A few years ago i had some building work done and after i primed the wood and finished with dulux satin wood but stains appeared through the paint after a while. I have painted again since but the same happend.
I have seen some Knot pain in diy stores but it seems to say paint on bare wood. I am not keen on rubbing down large areas of woodwork as there are quite a lot of marks showing.
Is there a good paint that will cover them up for good by applying another coat on top
Thanks

not that i know off. knotting should be applied to the bare wood knots, before any other paint.
knotting is basically a pure sealer much like varnish/shellac.Get some gorm.0 -
you could try an aluminium based primer http://www.icipaints.co.uk/products/info/dulux_trade_aluminium_wood_primer.jsp
dab some over the knots , touch up with solvent based undercoat and then finish asrequired0
