Red Funnel Price Hike

I previously posted this warning eslewhere but got no replies.
If you travel on Red Funnel to and from the IOW regularly you can charge a Gold Card with return trips. I buy 10 trips at 29.20 each for any crossing anytime of day or night = 58.40 for any return trip.
They are now changing to a pre-paid card system whereby having 250 on your card gets a 6% discount off the regular fare and 1000GBP gets 20% off.
This represents a massive price hike. The example below shows a crossing that would have normally cost me 58.40GBP.
The fare for this is now 152GBP (choosing my usual crossing times and cancellation options)!!!!!
With 20% off this is still 121.60 GBP. Surely this sort of price rise can't be legal ??:mad:
Come on Martin, please help!

A summary of your ferry booking is shown below. Please note if you remove any part of it, you will need to rebook the entire ferry element of your booking. A vehicle booking can contain only one vehicle so please make separate bookings for each vehicle.
As discounts apply if you book accommodation online any existing ferry itinerary will be deleted if you add accommodation to the basket. The discount will be applied automatically when you add a new ferry itinerary to the basket.

Hasn't that trip between Pompey and the Isle of $hite always been the most expensive waterway crossing (mile for mile) in the world??0

What makes matters worst (apart from the hike from a fixed 58.40 return for Gold Card Holders to up to 150GBP) is the new leaflet called "Great SAVINGS for vehicle users"!!!!
