Conveyancing solicitor recommendation London

Can anyone recommend a good solicitor in London for buying a flat? A friend recommended one but their quote was £895 for a 250k property plus all the searches etc on top. I think thats a wee bit steep!

    There are literally loads of threads about this!

    £895 for JUST the conveyancing fee is huge. I would say go with these guys for Conveyancing in London

    Are you a first time buyer? If so you wont have to pay stamp duty on a property below £250k, however the definition of a 'first time buyer' can be pretty dubious!
