Charged me interest on MY money

I've just received my visa card bill. After a couple of months with a zero balance, at the start of this month's bill I was credited with a £300 refund by a trader. I then used my card during the month and by the end when my bill was issued I was still £12 in credit - so far so good, so why did they charge me 6p "interest on my purchases" anyone have any ideas?

Here's a novel idea. How about asking them directly rather than people trying to take a punt guessing?

For 6p I can't even be bothered answering the question :rotfl:

6p added to all your credit card bills (for those who don't pay them off each month) adds up to...... a hell of a lot, are you sure your interest calculation is correct?. I have asked the credit card company, they "don't know"
so that,s a lot of help. It's been credited back + the cost of the phone call but that's not what's important.

i thought the whole point of this forum is to be able to ask questions and help each other. If you have nothing nice to say then please don't waste your own time in typing.

Bob i'm glad you got your 6p back plus the cost of your call. see it is worth taking the time to question why these companies do the things they do
  • Yes, people come looking for answers to questions on this board and hopefully get some useful information. But this was a thread about 6p and just phoning the company - exactly what was learnt by the rest of the board ? Bob had a refund, spent the money and got charged 6p. He rang the company and got a refund - hardly rocket science is it.

If Bob manages to go this with all his cards then he could get 24p (maybe)

Wouldn't there be a handling charge as well ? Good idea though.
