Oil Slick heading towards Cyprus

Can anyone help and shed some further light on this. According to the telegraph due to the damage caused to an oil refinery in Lebanon there is a massive oil slick heading towards Cyprus and Turkey. The damage to the enviornment is immense and the wildlife around Lebanon are suffering hugely. I am being selfish in enquiring about this as we are going to Cyprus this Sunday and I want to prepare the little ones if they can not go into the sea.
Thanks
