Funding for a Course?

Hi,

I want to do a course to become a canine behavioral therapist - the one I have in mind is in 2 stage Foundation and Advanced. Foundation is £400 and Advanced £700.

I know that once I have completed these courses I'll be able to set up my own business doing something I love and it will be really worthwhile but I'm approx £6k in debt and dont want to get myself in any further.

I know it's a long shot, but does anyone know if there are any grants available to help me fund my training?

Thanks.

I've been sat at my computer for almost 3 hours now trying to research funding for courses - all to no avail !

My daughter's boyfriend has been accepted on a 1 yr musical theatre course in London. The course fees alone are £13k. He doesn't have a job and is currently living with some, very kind friends, having left his alcoholic divorced mother. He is an exceptionally talented young man, so there must be some charitable organisation who would help him.

    Anyone have any ideas ?

Have you looked on the grant searches on this website? HERE
    Other possibilities, www.grantsearch.co.uk,
Is he entitled to a dance&drama award?

Also may be a good idea to contact the college and ask about grants, scholarships and how other students usually pay. Can he pay fees in installments? He's going to need to find a job as it's unlikely any of the grants will pay for everything unless he can get a very good scholarship.

I'm going to head off to the reference library tomorrow and ask if they can point me in the right direction. I'll let you know how I get on.

    Thanks
