Saxoprint business cards - RUBBISH !!!!

Options
Paid £40+ for the top quality business cards from saxoprint. Complete rubbish.

80% of the cards werent even printed straight. White space on left side, right side, top or bottom of card.

A lot of the cards were smudged.

A lot of the cards had different degrees of colour.

Sent complaint form back to Saxoprint over a week ago but no refund yet !!!!

Certainly wont be using them again !!!!

Thanks for the warning...I will stick with printing.com whose cards are much better and they work out cheaper when they have offers on..I just stocked up with more as they were on BOGOFF.

Hmm, i use them often, for various clients and have found them very good and unbeatable price wise. The only time i have had an error like yours was when i accidentaly got bleed settings wrong (eg not included), are you sure you included the correct bleed - 5mm i think? Also what did you use to prepare the files - illustrator cs4 > x3 pdf always works very well for me.

Price wise printing.com is nearly 3 times the cost for 2000 400gsm silk 2sided full colour.

I thought that first but some cards are blank on the left, some on the right etc.

I had the artwork done by a graphic designer so I assume they did it right....

Trouble is I've not heard from the !!!!!!s since I complained either....

I use FairPrint.com for my company colours found at gwilit.com they do me 10000 for £40+VAT and they are some of the most impressive cards I have ever seen with vibrant colours. Only downside is they are a bit slow on the production and delivery, but if your not in a rush they are great

Admittedly I did wait for the BOGOFF offer at printing.com and got 1000 400gsm silk artboard 2-sided in full colour matt laminated both sides (luxury style) cut out for £169.20 inc VAT

I guess it depends on what you want for your business - I trust printing.com and so far havent had a problem with them. Also cut out cards like mine are more expensive.

Ive bought over 9 different orders over 3 years, if it was business cards or leaflets from saxoprint and they are spot on with quality and price, ok there are better printers etc with special effects, but you have to pay for that. Ive just bought 28,000 a5 brochures for £500, now price that up anywhere else and you will find prices are about £800. ID suggest emailing service@saxoprint.co.uk and im sure they will sort it for you.
    Kind Regards

Completely uninterested. Have had an email conversation with them and they're basically saying tough luck they're not that bad. So much for customer service.

Complete cowboys. Never use Saxoprint. Ever.

Have you used their complaints form? http://www.saxoprint.co.uk/Download/en-GB/Reklamationsformular.pdf

Have you called their service number?

Email is rarely the best way to get a complaint resolved as it is less personal than a call. You might also find the complaints form gets dealt with by the relevant department rather than general customer services. Of course they might just not care but I would try their complaints form backed up with a call before giving up.

Yes. Did use their complaints form and sent back samples as requested. Its being dealt with by their complaints department who are still basically saying tough luck.

While we are on the subject of printing companies, don't use Print24.
What a waste of time these people are.
First order I placed, they delivered it to a completely different address, and another order they cut the flyers wrong leaving white marks on the edges even though we allowed for a 5mm bleed on the artwork.
We complained about it and they blamed us!!.
    We'll never use them again.
