Save money on Expedia flights

This worked for me so worth a try for others.
If you are booking a reasonably expensive flight on Expedia go for the "Flight and Hotel" option. This gives a reduction in the total cost by approx. 10% for buying their "package" and you only need to book the hotel for one night to get the discount. If the total discount is more than the cost of one night in the hotel then you've effectively saved money off your flight. My example was (roughly) £800 flight only to Aruba. Hotel £35. If booked together cost was £835 minus £85 = £750 which is cheaper than the flight booked on it's own.
Worth a try!

£800 seems a bit steep for a flight to Aruba
average seems to be around the 450 to 550 mark

It wasn't direct flights - I had stop-offs in USA on way out and Italy on return.
Obviously overall cost is what counts - this is meant to highlight a technique if Expedia is the cheapest, or almost cheapest, for the product you want.0 -
This depends if there are 'inclusive tour' fare classes on the flights and if they are sold or still available.
Another tip is to pick the one night as the saturday night.
I found a flight to Miami with a big saving, but it is via Paris.
Consolidators also have these kind of deals.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
