Apparently all of the prep work is done beforehand and not included in the 60 minutes.
  • Good for ideas...though naturaly take the shortest (quickest) route.

I have watched to get ideas, but then done the work properly!

It doesn't get done in an hour. I read an article about how the team arrive at 7am and clear the rooms being decorated. they strip the walls and outside the furniture is assembled. They film the rooms empty and then lots of work is done off camera. When the camera films the "start" of the show a team of about 40 people rush in and paint/paper etc. The "tea break" lasts over 2 hours and if they are pushed for tim ework is done then. When the show restarts they work for another 30 mins and cameras go off. the countdown at the end goes on in a room that has been finished and then the other rooms are done before the "surprise" arrival of the owner. This happens at about 6pm.
So all in all it takes a day not 60 mins.
I'll try to find the article as it was a bit eye opening to me anyway (60 mins=60 mins to me, not a whole day and I was a bit surprised at the blatent truth stretch).
