Wireless PC help please

Hi,

Venturing into this forum for some help please.

Just bought one of those sticks you put in to the back of the pc to make it wireless.

It won't connect. I've tried the switch everything off and turn it on again trick (about the limit of my capabilities).

What do i try next....in words of one syllable would be great. Thanks in advance.

The make and model of the 'stick thingie', the make, operating system and system info of the PC, and detail of what you're trying to connect to would help......

So do you have a wireless router to connect the wireless USB adapter to the internet?
How were you connecting the PC before?
What operating system on the PC-XP, Vista etc?

    Install the USB adapter.
Click on the wireless icon in the taskbar. Locate your required network and enter the wireless encryption code to connect.
